Wurkwel Ventures Reaffirms Commitment to Chicago with Two New Leases

CHICAGO, IL., Dec. 5, 2024 – Wurkwel Ventures, LLC (“Wurkwel”) is excited to announce the extension of two of its office leases in the city of Chicago. Office Furniture Center-Chicago renewed its existing 212,596 sq. ft. lease at 5000 W. Roosevelt Road and Rightsize Facility signed a new lease for 9,695 sq. ft. and will be occupying the entire 5th floor of 303 West Erie Street. Rightsize will be relocating from its longtime home on the 2nd floor in early 2025.
Office Furniture Center-Chicago, one of Wurkwel’s portfolio companies, is the Midwest’s largest source for value-priced office furniture and is integral to our Planet First approach. Its vast inventory of premium office furniture, extensive public showroom, and efficient warehousing and customer service operations are all supported from this hub. Office Furniture Center is the leading choice of non-profit organizations, local governments and municipalities, small businesses, and remote employees to furnish their workspaces. They play a major role in Wurkwel’s Planet First mission by diverting over 300 tons of materials from landfills each year through recycling and repurposing of assets. Those repurposed assets are then sold at their Chicago showroom in the North Lawndale neighborhood. Over 800 tons of repurposed, pre-owned products are sold annually, contributing to the promotion of a circular economy.
Rightsize Facility secured the entire 5th floor of the industrial timber loft building at 303 W Erie Street in Chicago for its new headquarters. As a nationwide furniture dealer and facility services firm, Rightsize Facility serves as the single source to plan, furnish, and service office expansion, relocation, or consolidation for corporate clients in transition. The cutting-edge design showroom and sustainability center, created in partnership with a leading local A&D firm, will serve as a workspace, a showroom, and a customer experience center. This new space is designed to create the ultimate workplace experience, fostering innovation and collaboration in a modern, dynamic environment, leveraging sustainably sourced furniture solutions and amenities.
